This Season’s Cutest Swimsuits for Girls & Boys

I have to confess: seeing the tiny tushes of my little boy and girl in their bathing suits each weekend is possibly one of the cutest things in the universe. They’re just so stinkin’ adorable I can’t take it. I literally just want to pinch them to pieces (ahh, mom digression!). Our kiddies swimming at camp throughout the week and we love heading to the community pool on the weekends. Needless to say, our bathing suit drawers are pretty stocked.  Our favorites include Old Navy, J. Crew Factory and Gap.

My girl is at the age now where she wants a bikini. You moms might be cool with it but it’s candidly an adjustment for me. I’m all for the tankini — it makes a mad dash to the potty insanely easier! — however not only is it a lot of skin for my six year old to be showing, it’s also exposing her to a lot of sun. Double no. We’re still working on finding balance (all about fun print tankinis — this palm print her new fav because mama has to stand her ground), and I have to say, there are some really cute bathing suit options for boys and girls in a variety of prints, styles and sizes. Just go with what you’re comfortable with, protect with sunscreen, cute coverups and shade, and make some memories.
