5 Genius Products for Kids and Parents

If you’ve got kids, you know that having kids means having a lot of stuff. Toys, clothes, bottles, binkies…the list goes on and on.  However, occasionally I come across a product that is so genius, that it really does make mine or my kids’ lives better and easier.  Check out my must-haves!

Aqueduck Faucet Extender

So simple yet so effective.  Just slip this on your faucets, and it extends the water flow so that little hands can be washed unassisted.  I’ve got these on all the bathroom faucets in my house and they re fabulous. Not only does it let my kids be more independent little people (priority here, of course) but they also give me back precious minutes in my day that I don’t have to run around hoisting them up to uncomfortably wash their hands.

Kaboost

Where was this years ago when my son was in a booster seat?! The Kaboost raises up the chair so that a booster seat isn’t necessary.  It allows kids to sit in a regular chair but gives them a little extra height to reach the table.  I love that it comes in colors that allow it to blend in with your decor as well.

Latchy Catchy

Ah…you know that phase when your toddler loves closing doors…and then cries because they aren’t tall/coordinated enough to open it again? Enter the Latchy Catchy.  This slips on your door and covers the latch so it can’t catch (you see what I did there?) and the door can simply be pushed open without twisting the knob. Mayfair NextStep Child/Adult Toilet Seat

This is one of my favorite products ever! If you’re potty training or just have little ones in the house, this toilet seat is so handy. It is a regular adult toilet seat but, up in the lid is hidden a child-size version that easily folds down.  It is attached with a magnet when it isn’t in use and simply pulls out to be removed when it is no longer needed.  Both of my kids never liked traditional potty seats because they don’t feel very sturdy.  However, they LOVE this and actually want to go to the potty because they can do it themselves.

SipSnap

This genius mom-invented product turns any cup or class into a kid-friendly sippy cup.  No more disastrous spill episodes that draw the attention of the entire restaurant. (YAY!) The silicone SipSnap fits over the top of any cup and stretches to fit.  Personally, I like the version with the straw the best but both are great.  When not in use, they’re super compact and come with a little plastic carrying case that is easy to throw into a purse or diaper bag.
