Holidays @ Home: Max Impact, Min Effort

This post is brought to you by Target.

When it comes to home decor, my home is absolutely a work in progress. I mean that in a major way as, after nearly four years in our home, I’m finally updating lighting, updating furniture and adding art on the walls, while simultaneously making it feel homey for guests (ok, my brother!).

In our last holiday home series with Target, I’m excited to share three easy ways to maximize your holiday home vibe with the littlest effort possible. Oh yes!

My first, and possibly favorite, is a doormat upgrade. Switch out your standard doormat for a fun, holiday themed door mat (perk: most mats are under $15!). It’s your first impression for guests and an easy way to set the stage for what’s to come inside your home. How adorable is this festive wintery one?x

Second, I know Hanukkah just ended, but this concept also works for Christmas or a general winter feel. Update your entry table with a few key holiday touches; it doesn’t need to be everything, rather a little way to spread the holiday cheer. We updated our entry table with a menorah, some yummy chocolate gelt (perfect for us, and guests) and the beloved Mensch on a Bench.y

Lastly, add winter florals to even the littlest spaces. I couldn’t resist this tiny faux acorn and spruce potted decor and decided to place it in my neutral bathroom for an extra touch. Since Florida is all palm trees and 80 degree temperatures these days, I adore this snowy feel inside my home… and can easily see this staying put for another few months. I also swapped our grey towels with this snowflake one for another holiday look that works well beyond the holidays.z

Do you have any easy tips to provide an instant holiday home update?

Love the door mat, and you can never go wrong with Mrs. Meyers soap!
