When it comes to closet staples, every woman should own a pair of leopard shoes; make it heels, flats, booties, sandals, it doesn’t matter — the printed neutral is universally awesome. Promise. Would I steer you wrong? Years ago I’d never agree with this statement but this older, kind of wiser version figured out how to wear leopard shoes and I’m sharing with you along with loads of inspiration from gorgeous women doing it right, plus keep reading for my favorite picks as well.

How to Wear your Leopard Shoes?
Consider it a neutral; if you’re just getting started stick to other solids like black, white, rusty orange, pink, plum, red and blue, for example. Go with leopard heels to add personality to a LBD, or pair flats to add flair to your weekend denim and sweater, or to a work look with black slacks, and blouse. I personally like a pair of suede (or high quality faux); I find the satiny ones, even at $150+ can look cheap.

October 6, 2015 at 10:38 PMI just bought a pair of super cute Sam Edelman sandals in leopard print. They have a high ankle. I live in south Florida and can pretty much wear sandals most of the year. How do you recommend I wear them? With what outfits? In so scared to wear them with anything but black!

October 7, 2015 at 8:27 AMThose sound awesome (I want to see!). Black is definitely a must, and try adding another color to the mix, like a pink, orange or royal blue, for example. For weekends, I’d wear them with denim (blue, white or black) and again, add color with the blouse, or stick to a black and add a pop of color with your purse. If you’re willing, try adding a stripe on top (and you can add a cardigan, too, so only a little of the second print is showing on your blouse). Hope that helps!
