Outfit: Stripes for Days

There’s something about a stripe top is that is so universally perfect. It’s flattering, it’s versatile, it’s stripes. I mean, what else is there to say? I hate those “every woman needs” comments, but really, any closet would be better off with at least one stripe tee included. This one, a recent ASOS find (as obsessed over on Monday), is lightweight and great for layering; if it was cooler, I’d top this with my cargo jacket, a plaid blanket scarf, or a black blazer.

By the way, I’ve had these jeans for at least 3-4 years now and even after hemming them, they’ve always been just a touch too long. I finally pulled the trigger and cut off the hem of the denim and LOVE how they look. It was super easy DIY and gives the denim a fresh, modern look. I probably could have gone even a little shorter but better to cut again (after a wash or two) than to regret. I’ll definitely be doing this with 2-3 more pairs that haven’t been getting much use.
