For all you DIY fans, here’s one coming at you from TAGG. I’m totally stealing this from my girlfriend, B, which she made after her mother-in-law saw it in a mag (we can’t remember which one, unfort)…. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Right. To celebrate Hanukkah, which starts tonight and lasts for eight days, we’ve created a photo menorah on our wall where our dining room and living room are. We “lit” the first candle, which is on the right, to show you what we’ll do each night.
In love with this creative way to celebrate Hanukkah since it really is all about family. While of course there are some items I’d love to have, honestly this makes me happier than anything else… I just smile and stare while looking at all our fam. An extra perk? Our girl was pointed to my brother saying Uncle Danny!… pointing to Adam’s dad and mine saying Grandpa!… the list goes on. What a wonderful way to see all of our family — near and far — each day. Would it be awkward if this was up next July? haha.
TO MAKE: Use 36 pictures, with five colors of construction paper for the candles and then free-hand, cut-out a flame with orange construction paper. When compiling photos, be sure that 16 of them are vertical.
